Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Your privacy matters, and legalese helps no one — so here’s what we collect and why, in plain English.

What we collect

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how many people read our stuff and how they found us — pages viewed, general device/browser type, and rough (city-level) location. It’s collected via cookies and isn’t used to personally identify you.
  • Newsletter. If you sign up for “The Weekly Read,” we collect your email for exactly one reason: to send you that newsletter. Unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email.
  • Server logs. Like basically every website, our host records standard technical data (like IP address and timestamp) for security and reliability.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use your data to build ad profiles of you.

Cookies

We use cookies for the analytics above. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where they apply.

Third parties

Analytics data is processed by Google; if you subscribe, your email is handled by our email provider. Both operate under their own privacy terms.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the UK, EU, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or opt out of certain processing. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email.

Children

This site is meant for a general adult audience and isn’t directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date always reflects the latest version.
